I know this topic has been beaten to death before but I have a situation that's a little different. I have an 04 A4 1.8T that had the K03 reflashed to 200hp and now the K03 blew up and was thinking of upgrading to the K04.

question is if I upgrade to the K04 do I need to have the reprogramming redone?

 

Nope. Programming is done for fuel management, boost and some other items. Your ECU does not know what turbo you have.

the ko3 and the ko4 are so close togeather i doubt youd notice a difference in preformance if you spent the extra money, your call though
