Default Key will not arm system

As I am learning more about my car, I am learning to ask better questions. When I use my key to manually lock the driver's door, I can not get it to lock the others and arm the alarm. Only the driver's door lock goes down. Now the wierd thing is that I CAN ulock all the doors from the keyhole. The car only has the one keyhole on the driver's door. I believe this is related to why I am having so much trouble getting my remote to work. What would be a potential reason why this would happen? No codes have been thrown. All inside locking buttons work as expected..

The two are probably related. You have no faults in the central locking control module? There should be value blocks for that lock cylinder in the module. I would check and see if the module is even seeing the signal for it to lock everything from that lock cylinder. If it is youll need a new central locking control module.

I just ran out and scanned the car, and these two guys just popped up on me. I have never seen them before.

Check measuring value block 1. The first display should change its value when you lock and unlock the car using the key in the lock cylinder.

Turning towards unlock gives a value of 1000 and to the right (lock) it stays at 0000. I think we are getting somewhere.

Try the same thing with the lock cylinder on the trunk.

Either you have two bad cylinders or your module isnt capable of seeing the lock signal for some reason. Drivers or passengers door unlock should be 1000. Lock should be 0100. Trunk unlock should be 0010 and lock should be 0001.

The second group in that entire value block should read all 0000 meaning all doors closed. The alarm wont arm if all the doors arent closed. Hood and trunk included.

The third set of numbers is for the interior switchs. It should work the same as the first set of numbers lock/unlick wise.

The fourth set should also be all 0. The first number is the important one that is for the trunk being close or open.

The door lock cylinder feels like crap, probably need to do the WD-40 thing. The trunk one feels good. I would say that I doubt I have two bad locking cylinders. What do you think I should do?

I wondering if maybe that switch fault is causing something to happen with the module, makeing it not see the signals, but you said it works as expected. The pump fault i see sometimes even when theres nothing wrong with the system and the pump is locking all the doors so im not too concerned about that. I want to say that it needs a new module, but that module is like 500 bucks for parts alone and i cant be sure thats the cause. Try checking the values for the interior switchs. If those check out ok,you may want to pm the tech certifyed guys and see what they think. Maybe theres something i missed.

Oh and i forgot to mention that without the module seeing that lock signal you wont be able to program the key so thats why you have the issue with the key programing.
