I've got a '94 Cabriolet that has always made a knocking sound - it happens when I go over a bump and it's impossible to tarce where it's coming from. It's a thud that sounds like someone has hit the underside of the car with a small hammer. My local dealer can't help. Any ideas?

 

best bet is get under there, and start wiggling things around. if it happens over bumps only, its probably something loose.. try grabing what you can and moving it around. you might get lucky and find something with a missing fastener or something..
