Hi guys...im new to thes ite but joined for a few reasons. My friend is gonna sell me a 98' A4 2.8L Q. It has 82K miles. Everyone at my school keeps telling me that thats a lot of miles for a car. I am really not knowledgable on cars, but know a lot about trucks and lifting and stuff. COuld yall tell me about how many miles the car will perform good. And how long until it will die?

82K miles is not alot, but it is time for the timing belt/water pump to be done.
Also the tie rod/control arms need to be checked.

The 2.8 is a very reliable engine but not very modifyable, it will run for many manymore miles with proper maintenance.
