So, off teh top of my head (BTW, I'm very IMPRESSED that you could follwo my line of reasoning, above, as I *did* genuinely confuse myself as I was writing that... Or, as Panda would point out, I was off my MEDS, again), it sounds like you'll only be dealing with a wheel/tire package that will be somewhere between 3mm and 7mm further out, on center. I say hang it and go for teh wheels. 1/4-inch, or less, isn't gonna hurt anything.

Just fill the tires with Helium, so they'll ride "lighter," and you'll also see a minor improvement in your gas mileage, too[8D]

Using the calculator ( http://www.americanracing.com/techce...tor/input.html ):

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 14mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 2mm
