Location Of Water Temp Sensor

I need help locating the Water temp sensor on my 1995 A6 2.8 v6. and help would be appreciated. Can't seem to find it. and yes I know This probably is a dumb question.

95...? hmmmmmmmmmmm.... check pass side back of the motor between the firewall and head. green w/ a black plastic C clip holding it in
