Default Loss of power after driving through water.

Hey guys. Fortunately day by day it seems to be recovering. However. A few days ago I drove through a little bit of deep water to get to work.

I came out the other side and instantly if I put my foot down, there would be a delay in the acceleration.

No idle mode, no extra lights on the dash. It seems to every few days instantly accelerate as I climb up the gears. For example

Day 1. Loss of acceleration in all gears
Day 2. Gear 1 and 2 instantly accelerate, 3/4/5 do not.

Just wondering if anyone knows just what happened here?

It's not the transmission then. Could just be some water in a connector on the engine that is starting to dry out. How deep was the water?
