what up guys
i have a Audi A4 1.8t and i just installed a T3/T4 t04e with a external wastegate and a mbc i didnt get a computer upgrade or injectors(stock).the car starts fine and drives it just it dosent make any boost the most i get is 5psi and thats flooring it .I checked all of my boost lines and there tight my vacuum is at 19HG and i have no check engine light on . please someone help

Also can someone send me a pic of how the boost solinoid (n75) and the mbc are suppost to be hooked up to the external wastegate .
because i have a wastegate with two vacuum fittings on it one at the top and one at the bottom.

 

sounds like a wastegate problem to me, probably opening when you dont want it to. dont have any pics for you, sorry. im not sure what vw limits its boost at stock, but the computer is probably not letting it build up any higher. invest in a chip.

 

u dont think maybe i might need injectors befor the chip .because someone had a post of his friend running the setup i have with 660cc injectors and stock ecu and he said he was runnug fast as ****

 

na, i wouldnt worry about it. i would chip it first and see what kind of boost you are putting out. im actually surprised your not chipped already, its probably the best HP deal you can buy. would probably get an upgraded fuel pressure regulator at the same time, theyre pretty cheap, around 30 bucks or so. my s4 is chipped running on stock injectors and its nice. your car is smarter then you think, it wont lean itself out and detonate. if the 02's sense a lean condition, they will either increase the duty cycle of the injectors, command the wastegate open, or a combination of both. you'll should be fine.

 

If you're only running at 5 psi then it is probably something with your ECM. Check codes because 5psi is usually limp mode as the computer is only trying to protect the engine.

You may also have your wastegateand mbc hooked up wrong because 5 psi i usually what a wastegate will let you run under wastegate spring pressure (no input from a boost controller i.e. n75 or mbc)
