Meyle water pump, warning!

Meyle water pump, warning!
Just opened up my car to do an unrelated repair, and it seems my newly replaced water pump was leaking all that time. It's one-half year old, and sinse I wasn't able to completely repair the car yet, it was not driven much. It seems to be leaking right from the shaft or from some sort of large metal plug right under the shaft.
Does not seems to be something I could've caused by improper installation.
I did not see any leaks because it's actually not big enough, the coolant is evaporating on top of the upper oil pan.
Well, it was purchased from Blauparts in a mit, they not going to replace it =( I guess I Should rpeace it, cheapest remanufactured one in a local store is 66$.

Update, took it off, looks like the shaft is doing alright. There is some hole under the pulley, and water was coming out of there. Maybe it's some kind of self bleeding valve of some sort, so it suposed to leak a little while the pump is full of air, for instance after the system has been drained. =)

Nope...that little hole is called a weep hole. When it starts to leak coolant from the weep hole the inner water pump seal has failed and coolant is reaching the bearing. The coolant will rinse the grease from the bearing causing a large failure. The weep hole is a tool to help indicate the water pump is in need of replacement. Last time you replaced the pump did you do a full coolant flush?

GeilKyle2 - thanks for response, Nope, I did not flush. it was not dirty, and I've drained a couple times over the course of these month. So pump is bad? Because I've just installed it back =\ And I'm ready to test-run the car in about an hour (24 hours wait for sealant to dry)
There are actually two holes: one under the pulley on the bottom, another is on top above the pulley, and I can see shaft insides through it.
jj2345 - you should use anty-squieal lubricant with new pads otherwise it's gonna do that.
