Default Nav & Sirius questions for new A6

Hiya guys, just wondering if anyone could help a girl out here, we got a new 05 A6, which was my xmas gift. There were none here in Pittsburgh, so they brought one up from NC or SC, but anyways. The dealership said "it will have everything that this one has *speaking of the test model*" Well, it doesn't, no nav. They are saying unless it is installed at the factory that you can't get the nav as an after-thought upgrade. This has to be false...the wiring has to be there I would think.........any ideas or suggestions?

Also, the 6 came w/ the possibility of XM or Sirius satellite radio, do I need to buy a receiver, the antenna is already on the car, what exactly do I need to do to get the sirius?

Thanks, Also , sorry for many questions, is there a particular place online for mods/upgrades that is well respected and trusted? I know of a million Z parts stores, but no Audi ones. Wheels being of particular interest, we like the 18's that came w/ the sports package, but think we want to go w/ 19's maybe for the summer, and leave snows on the stockers. THanks very much.

Nav wiring has not been historically pre-wired. I don't know about the new ones. Does your car come with a sharkfin antenna?

Yeah sure does. We have the shark fin antenna.

THat sucks about the nav, hubby called Audi today (not the dealership but the main audi number) and they said it's not avail for aftermarket install either. [>:] They did put us on a will call list if it ever becomes avail. Shoot. Oh well, i can read a map!

Anyone have a link to a good parts dealer online?

Thanks for the links! YOU ROCK! [sm=smiley9.gif]

Yeah it stinks about the nav, but seems that there aren't too many of the new 4.2L 6's around....hubby is working on them for a free set of snow tires for the OOPS! We will see how they handle that!

I though it was just a disc that they had to install and program it with the 5051 from the dealership
