I got the diag: 17831: P1423 - Secondary Air INjection System: Bank 1: Insufficient Flow
17891: P1411 - Secondary Air Injection System Bank 2: Insufficient Flow

...from a VAG-COM. What does this mean and can I fix this myself or is this something that a shop should take care of?


Any help at all on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

 

P1411 = intake leak, hose)s)blocked/leaking, AIR valve solenoid

P1423 = Hose connection(s), AIR valve solenoid

sounds like you have a hose or leak issue

 

Look at the plastic hoses coming off the secondary air pump.
