need help vacuum hose routing 2002 quattro tt
While troubleshooting a p0171 code on our Audi quattro tt (2002), I found a braided vac hose with a broken off nipple. I don't know where it should go. Attached photo shows where the hose originates, on the upper right side of the engine. I don't know what that component is! Any help would be most appreciated.
The part number is right there on it. It's the EGR valve. Part number is 06A 131 102A. Partsgeek has it for about $100. 02 2002 Audi TT Quattro EGR Valve - Air Intake - Pierburg - PartsGeek
It looks like the hose curls around and fits right to the EGR valve. That will produce a lean error code (P0171).

Kind of hard to tell. It may go to one of those plastic vacuum lines and it's snapped off and fallen back down out of sight. I ended up getting a few feet of the plastic line at Advance Auto and replaced most of the ones on my 03 A8L. They were getting brittle.
What is the engine/trans code for your car. I might be able to dig it up for you on my Service Manual software.
