I have a 1995 audi A6 2.8, its been wierd with the starting lately and then it just stopped starting while i was at a gas station on saturday, ive had to pop the clutch to start it since then, ive tested the battery and its in good working order, and the car runs fine once its started, when i go to start it it doesnt click or anything, a bike mechanic told me its possibly the solenoid but i wanted some other opions before i went changing things, any and all help will be greatly appreciated! thanks,

If its not even clicking, check the power to the starter, if its 12V's or more replace the starter.

 

i did a load test and it was right aroudn 12V going to the starter when i turn the key it drops down to about 11.5ish,you think its the starter and not the solenoid?
