newbie with a cold idle/stalling question
97 A4 2.8L Quattro-Manual gearbox
I know this topic has probably been beat in the ground but I've searched all
other threads and am trying to troubleshoot the idle problem.
I don't know if it's the cold weather or a coincidence but the stalling started
happening when it got cold.
It will stall 50% of the time when I come to a light. Sometimes the idle will dip
to 200 then shoot back up and seems like it wants to "hunt" sometimes.
I haven't cleaned the TB or tested the AIC yet; no garage.
I have checked vacuum lines.
My Cat Converters both blew out a couple months ago which took out the front
O2 sensors. Both cat's have been replaced but not the O2 sensors.
Which in turn has left the check engine light to stay on.
I read about the vacuum lines freezing up on account of the condensation
and wonder if the problem would be that easy(not likely).
I guess I'm trying to rule out as much possible cause I gotta work on this
in 10 degree weather.
Any help would be great
