I know there are vastly differing opinions on oil. I chose Castrol EDGE full synthetic 0W40 european( which is made in germany) from what i understand about oil a 0W would be thinner at startup and then thicken to a 40W at temp. Anyone care to weigh in on this choice?

 

0w40 or 5w40 should be good. You are correct. the first number is the cold weight and the second number is the weight at operating temperature.
