As my 01 A6 2.7T approaches 80k (79k right now), a CEL turned up. The code was P1131 (Air/fuel mixture issue). Is there any way I can find out if this is the o2, the catalytic converter, or both? The cat is warranteed until 80k miles and if this is the issue I would like to get replaced ASAP (before 80K miles). Please help!!

Check with the dealer as all emissions equipment
should be under warranty for 80K mi.

 

Including o2 sensors?

 

Are the o2 sensors covered under the 8 yr 80k mile emissions warranty as the cats are?

i got that same code on my b5 s4 and i replaced my driver side o2 sensor and it didnt go away could it really be my cats also i have piggies on the way if it was the cat will it go away with the piggies or will it still show up because of a lack of precats on the piggies. Basically if it doesnt will that mean its the other o2 sensor or is it because of the piggies possibly.
