Parking brake malfunction

Default Parking brake malfunction

Hi to u all,
I recently bought an AUDI A6 2005 and started to have problems with automatic parking brake , sometimes a light would come on the dashboard but went off after a while, now for the last 4 days I cannot release the parking brake, I tried everything and I just cant , NEED HELP, the car is parked and I even cant take the car to a specialist many thanks in advance

Hi.
Check the looms/connectors to the actuators on the rear calipers. The wires are prone to breaking.
Make sure you check right at the connectors, the earth wire corrodes/breaks. The loom can be repaired. To get you moving, you can power up the actuators with a power probe other device and release them.
