My 4th Audi. And now my 2nd Q7 in 1 year, upgraded from a 2010 Q7 Premium to a 2012 Prestige S-Line with 21K miles. LOVE this car. But when I show it anyone, the first thing they notice is the unsightly rusted rotor hats (the metal between rotors and wheel) and also the discolored Calipers. It is so visible with the 20" 5-spoke wheels. That rust makes it look like a car that's been sitting in a salvage yard for months. Two Audi dealers say that it's normal and nothing can be done about it under warranty. Totally unacceptable. A $70K car should not have rotors and calipers that rust and get discolored to a point of being the most noticeable part of a beautiful car.
What should I do? I SHOULD NOT have to pay for resolving this. They used inferior metals to build this. I haven't seen 10 year old Chevy Malibus with this issue.
What is my solution as a consumer?
