Service Oil in the speedometer
Anyone know how to reset the oil Light in an 99 a6?
I changed my oil at 80500 and know at 81500 service light came on today I forgot to reset the oil reminder. Can anyone help with this its starting to bother me.

There is a place in the ownersmanual that tells how to do it. I think you have to have the ignition off, hold the trip reset button in the cluster and then turn the ignition on, the center display will then show the interval. That might not be the whole procedure though. Trying to do it from memory[8D]

I drive a 99 A6 and right underneath my mileage b4 I cut my car on it says service oil[:@]. I am starting to wonder if there is something wrong because every now and then I smell oil when I cut the care off.
How do you know if there is something wrong with my oil pressure?
I changed the oil in my car around 80500 miles and now Im sittiing at 81700 miles or so. I also forgot toreset the oil light.
Could this be the problem?
I am not schedualed to change my oil for another 2000 miles.
I know some pretty high miles on my car right?
