Sheared bolt in engine block
First off, thanks to everyone for your help. I've used this site countless times for DIY projects including how to replace my thermostat, oil pan, water pump, and a myriad of other DIY repairs. THANK YOU!!
On to my problem. I was replacing my coolant flange and broke the head of a bolt in the engine block. I can't get a drill in there for an easy out so was hoping you might have an alternative to getting it out. The place I'm working with is between the back of the block between the engine and firewall. There's barely enough room to fit my fist there. There's a tiny bit of bolt sticking out but I used vice grips and it wont get a hold on it. I'm thinking I may have to remove the engine, or hoist it up far enough to be able to drill it out. Thoughts?

I had the exact same thing happen to me a number of years ago. I fixed it, after a few days of frustration, by taking a small cutting wheel with a Dremel tool and cutting a small slot in the bolt, then I used a small stubby screw driver and it came right out no problem. Once the head snaps off, there is no torque left on the screw. Unless it's corroded in there, it should take very little effort with the screw driver. I probably cut a very small amount into the head itself on either side of the screw, but not by much, and it didn't hurt anything.
