hi, i have a B7 A4 2.0T FSI special edition 220ps, bought it recently, and haven't driven another to compare but i've read the reviews, it says that this engine has "the torque of a diesel" ans accelerates to 7000rpm.

i find that in 1st and 2nd the turbo doesn't boost as i'd imagine a 220ps engine should, and in 3rd gear the turbo kicks in eventually at around 4700-5000rpm. when the turbo is in boost, the engine pulls well and the power is definately there, but seems to take a while to wind it up..
before 4000rpm the engine is dead, i'd guess around 60bhp...

does anyone have any ideas as to what this can be? my first thought was maybe stuck waste gate on the turbo, but wanted other opinions and the experience of you guys before i take the engine to pieces..
