Tail shaft seal query-help reqd
HI
I have an Audi A4 Quattro 2.8 V6 30v. Few days back, I had to replace my tail shaft seal because I was getting burnt oil smell (on my part, I have checked when i got it put on the lift). But even after replacing the shaft seal, I am still getting some burnt smell while driving. When i called up the repair shop (autohaus @ Royal Oak, Mi), they said I will have the burning smell for some more time as there is will be some remanants.
I was little confused with this argument. Can some body please tell me is it normal, or Is it some lame excuse which the repair shop has found on their own.
Pls advise
Regards
