hey my car start overhiting. i took it to Audi diler. they told me the termostat and the waterpump are not working. so i changed them but since i took the cramshaft(timing belt?) out my car just keeps kranking but not starting. i checked everything and i found out that my sparkplugs dont get a spark??? any ideea what it can be???? thanx any info it will really help me. thanx a lot. p.s i have been told that there is a crank sensor. is there one??? thanx a lot.

 

Well you shouldnt have taken the camshaft out to replace the timing belt or do a water pump. If you do take the cam out, or the t-belt off, most likely your timing is off. with your timing off, your distributor is off, and throw a spark at the wrong time. Also, if your timing if off, you could have pretty much destroyed the head if you keep cranking it over. You may have damaged the pistons, bent valves, so on. Double check to see if the timing is all set and your distributor and plug wires are all in the right places.
