Default Transfer box question

Hi all, would like a heads up off some of the techies on here please regards the VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda running gear , specifically the transfer box .
We have 2007 Seat Altea 4wd in with a failed transfer box , we are struggling to find a replacement apart from new at over £1300 ! ouch !!, but have sourced a transfer box from an audi TT 2012 model but there seems to be a few different opinions on the suitability of the unit for our car from the Audi donor .

The original is an ZSBO 409053"H"
The Audi TT donor is 409053"T"

The only way we could tell would be to get the box and count the revolutions of the input shaft to match the final drive , but wondered could anyone shed any light on this subject rather than get the customer to risk buying a transfer box that might not match.

Many thanks any help appreciated ...

Ian .
