Hey guys, just bought a 2002 Audi S4 yesterday and on my way home the check engine light came on and the code (P0706) is for a transmission range sensor. Could it just need cleaning?

Is there anywhere to buy them other than the dealer? Because from them it's $300+ and it is nonrefundable so if its not the part I need then I'm just screwed out of $300.
