Default VAG-COM SOFTWARE NEEDED

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET SOME VAG-COM SOFTWARE FOR MY B6 A4? I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT TO DIAGNOSE A COUPLE OF PROBLEMS AND CHANGE A FEW THINGS AROUND. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Are you looking for some one local with a Vag-com, or do you want to purchase it?

Sorry i didn't mean to yell. I have to type in caps all day at work and i forgot to turn it off. I am actually looking to purchase it but i really don't want to spend $300. I just did it for diagnostics and changing a few little things in the programing like the way the fog lights turn on, nothing huge.

Your pretty stuck with Ross-Tech prices, as they make the software. The only other way around it is to pick up a cheap eBay cable, then spend $100 for the software.

I just got a cable off e-bay and he guarantees it to work with the Vag-Com version 311 or409.1 software. Cable was cheap but well made and cost $21.97 including shipping. I'll try it out over the weekend and let you know how well it works. If it works well then I'll pay the $99 to register the software.

I downloaded the 409.1 Vag-Com software and the drivers suggested from the seller and it found all the modules and gave me a few error codes. But being as its the freeware version I couldn't change anything except clear some simple codes. Looks like I'll buy the $99 Vag-Com license now. Heres the link to the cable that I bought.
