Hi All,

I have a 2001 Audi A6 2.7T with automatic transmission. A couple of days ago a warning light came on, the light is located to the top left side of the shifter, near P and N (park and neutral) on the same chrome panel and is round and looks like a shoe with 2 () on each side. I had never noticed the light before because it was always off. It came on when I was backing into my parking spot and as soon as it came on, the car stopped going back. I put the car back in park and then to reverse. The light didn't come on and the car moved again.

What does this light mean ? I lost my users manual a while back and couldn't find anything on the internet.

Thanks for your help.

This is just a reminder that you need to depress the brake pedal before shifting into gears on the tranny.
The light warning light will be OFF as soon as your foot in hitting the brakes.
