Default Water leak...please help

hey guys!!!!
i got 1999 a4 i am having a little problem with it.....
after a heavy rain fall overnight I found a puddle of water in the foot space of the right rear passenger seat. I dried the area as I thought it might have been a visitor that spoiled some water, but whenever I lift the carpet after a night of rain, I can feel a new puddle of water under the carpet. i checked everything but couldn;t figure it out where is the water coming from.... if n e body knows anything about it please help...
thanks in advance.....

use the link in the previous post. those drains in the battery compartment clog up alot, filling the whole battery compartment with water until eventually the water level gets high enough and leaks into the car.this will make the pass front floorboard wet before the rear but.... the seals under the pollen filter housing also deterioriate over time and cause leaks- (there is a tech bulletin on that one i believe). also check the sunroof drains on both front doors located in the front part of the door jamb. give each hose a squeeze and check for blockage. water should not come rushing out. these tend to back up and cause water to leak in by the kick panels.
