Default What is This?

I am hoping to do a Diverter Valve on my 2004 Chipped 1.8 A4.
I have found several DIY's
But in all these the DV is located from the bottom and by removing the headlight. My engine seems to have it placed on the top?

But please look at this pic and let me know what this part is.

Is it the DV?

nope.. a dv is vacuum operated. you have an in and an out, but there is no control for the valve (vacuum line) that looks like it is a pcv part, im not a hundred percent sure but thats no dv..
