What is this??
Hello everyone. As most of you know I just got my first Audi. it's a 1990 200 Turbo 10V 4 door. The problem is that everytime I press the gas pedal down it sometimes gets stuck down and I have to use my foot to push it up.... I think I found the problem... The only problem is that i'n not excally what the "Audi" name for it is, I don't know how much this costs, or if this is even the problem (I'm pretty sure though). Can anyone tell me what the problem could be, how much this would cost (around), and if this is even the potentional problem? Any help would be greatly appricated. Thanks.

that appers to be your vacuume diaphram, for your cruise control, can't tell for sure, I can't see the ends of the linkage and where the vacuume line comes from. If you take a picture farther back I could tell you for sure. That is probably not going to be your problem, I'd look for a weak throttle body return spring, one of thoes little ball pivits to be seized, or your throttle cable sticking
Thank you guys.. I'll try to put sone good PB blaster on in in a few... i'll get back to you and let you know if that works. Hopefully thats all it will need is some lubericant to get the ball pivits, or spring(s)unfrozen. I'll also check to see if m any of my vacume lines are collapsed or leaking. Thanks again guys. I'll also post a further away shot taken soon as soon as my camera phone starts working correctly.
Well, I checked the springs and ball pivots, and I greesed them some most (like 5 times), and it works real good now. Thanks everyone
. So I guess the only thing i'm have left to do is check out my cruse control vacuum thingie and call Audi and figure out how to fix this and how much it's goinna set me back.
