What does Audi regard as a "Long Block"
My 2014 Audi S5, 3.0L V6 with 62,000 kms. had been ticking for months when Audi tore it down, under warranty, finding #6 cylinder was badly scored. Eventually (after 3+ weeks) Audi Canada authorized a 'long block' repair - they were trying to do only a 'short block' but found damage to the head(s), I'm presuming.
I'm wondering just what Audi considers a 'long block' repair:
BLOCK, CRANKSHAFT, PISTONS, RINGS, MAIN BEARINGS, ROD BEARINGS, CAM BEARINGS, CAMSHAFT, TIMING CHAIN, SPROCKETS, LIFTERS, PUSH RODS, ROCKER ARMS, CYLINDER HEADS, OIL PUMP, OIL SCREEN, AND GASKET SET ?
Something more? Something less?
What should I expect to receive from Audi ? - a brand new long block with all of the above or some kind of rebuilt engine?

I've always been under the impression that a short block assembly basically the bottom end (crank, pistons, etc), no heads. The long block assembly includes the complete heads. More or less a complete engine, minus electrics, and fuel delivery.
