In doing a strut replacement on a 97 A6 Avant... looking at related suspension parts....

what is th difference between the boot kit, the dust sleeve and the bellows? Are these all needed in a strut replacement or are some redundent?

Um.... no... bellow boots are used in steering racks. You don't need any boots

you just want to replace the shocks...? inside of the springs...?

then thats all you need. You may see when taking it apart, you might want to throw some new top mounts at it.
