Wheel question
I was driving through some mountains where it had stormed... Long story short is I hit a rock that had fallen into the middle of the road and it bent my rim and punctured my tire. I have 19" aftermarket rims that are 19x9... i put on the stock spare and drove to my destination. alignment seemed spot on... I heard it's bad to drive on tires/wheels that aren't the same as the rest.
I'm at the hotel right now and about 300 miles from home. Any advice?
Would it be ok to drive back home? when i get home they will probably replace all 4 tires and i'll have to go get my wheel fixed.
Oh by the way i have a 2001 a6 4.2.
Discount tire explained to me how i needed the certs on my tires because my car is AWD and if the tires arne't the same size it messes up the tranny.
So for you experts. If you were in my situation what would you do if it were you?
