I have a set of audi a3 wheels off of a 2006 a3, they are the 17" 16 spoke wheels. I want to put them on my 98 audi a4 1.8t quattro sedan. The wheels i have now are the boring 15" 8 or 9 spoke i think. I am trying to figure out whats the smallest spacer i can put on to make them fit. As of now bolting them on they just barely touch the upper control arm that bends and kind of comes up over the back of the wheel/tire. I dont want to use a spacer, but i dont plan on ever driving this car hard so im going to just do it anyway. I just want to find the smallest offset spacer i can use. I found a 5mm but basically what i need to know is the specifications of both wheels and what width/offsets fit on my car that way i can find the correct spacer. if anyone can help me find out the specs of what diameter/width/offsets will work on my car, that would be great.
