there are ways to use a bov on an audi but they're expensive. i dont see the point in spending extra money just to show-off. not to mention a k03 is like a hairdryer and wont produce that loud of a noise with a bov either

FOR THE 1.8T ENGINE, IT CAME WITH A PLUG TO PLUG UP WHERE
THE DIVERTER USED TO DUMP THE AIR BACK INTO THE HOSE...

first thing, turn off the caps. secondly wut do you mean it plugs it up? does it vent to atmosphere then? if so ya its bad. it means your running rich and will cause problems down the road. switch it for a forge 007 or 710n(<-- cheaper but not as good as a 007)

Just get a diverter valve and an intake. Has agood sound to it and wont F up your ride, end ofstory. Buy a bigger turbo and stop thinkin about these gay BOVs

I don't understand why everyone freaks out about BOV's on Audi's.I've never owned an Audi but it should be similarto my other car. All you have to know is that a BOV is releasing metered air to the atmosphere meaning that your CPU is supplying a specific ammount of fuel for the air thats in the intake tract. When the BOV is vented to the atmosphere you now have an excess of fuel causing a rich condition. This can cause the car to stall if you aren't expecting it. Also, the reason the car feels slower is also due to this loss of metered air. When the BOV is recirculated to the intake, after the metering device, it keeps the engine running efficiently and helps keep the turbo spooled.

Now that I've proven I'm nota complete noob, please explain what all can be damaged on your engine by this slight rich condition. I run my BOV vented to the Atmosphereon my Supra and I have not had any problems that you have discussed. I knowitshould be recirculated butI'm working on running standalone so I have deceided to leave it alone till I have that installed.

I'm doing this research as more of a theorhetical exercise. Iam considering an A4 as a DD but it will most likely be a 2.8 (I want reliable and the Supra is the car that I modify).
