Default Cold Air Intake opinons needed

hey just got a '05 A4 Quattro 3.0L S-Line today, i'm looking for opinions on which cold air intake system would be the best for this car? Which one could i get the most performance and good sound i can get out of? Also is it worth it?

-Thanks!

#1You can get a short ram intake, where its more for looks, as you are showing off your cone filter.

#2Then you can get an actual cold air intake, which is a tube running from your throttle body to usually somewhere by the fender well, or around headlight, wherever cold air can by shot into the filter.

1st one is just for looks, 2nd one is great, but alot of people misjudge the stock intakes, they were, after all designed for the car, and usually offer plenty of induction. Which car is this for?

anyone of those intakes will make it sound better ( good sucking sound ), IMO, i would go with the cold air intake, better performance, make your you get a water bypass valve if you live in rainy conditions.

no he is saying either one will work, but what he is saying is that if you live in wet conditions get a water bypass valve so you don't hydrolock your motor

i hydrolocked my cabrio motor with the factory airbox

but he is saying you will get less "heatsink" not that you might get it, from a cai

and that a short ram will "look" better, you will be able to see the filter
