The EVOMS CAI is bloddy rockin. I just got mine with the GIAC flash and Greddy G2 cat-back. AWSOME! The Itake helps alot and sounds freekin killer!

i got one off ebay for 49.99, it came with a preformance air filter, all the tubing and a heat shield. It does add throttle response and seems to add a little more pull in addition to sounding sick. if even the highest priced C.A.I's dont do very much for you why wouldnt you check out a $50 upgrade off ebay, it couldnt hurt you could always throw the stock airbx back in if u wernt satisfied.

you get your performance from the cone, not the piping....
you pay high dollar for a name brand pipe....

if your on a budget buy a cheap intake off ebay and replace the cone with something nice like K&N.

no matter how free flowing the stock intake is a CAI will ALWAYS benefit the car. short ram intakes arnt always the best since they pick up all the engine heat. but a true cai will help.

Do any of you guys have problems with the CAI in the winter ( takes long to warm up?). I had a maxima with a cold air intake and in the winter the thing would never warm up. Let me know if anyone has this problem with Audi's. Thanks.

Actually some pipes are junk. I've seen a lot of the junk ebay pipes rub against other metal objects inside the engine bay and create holes in a couple weeks b/c of the paper thin walls and cheap construction of the pipe.

I recently purchased a 98 A6 with the 2.8L. I am having difficulty finding CAI, performance CAT BAC, chips or other performance parts for this model. Any suggestions?
