Leather any day. It will last longer lot longer. Im a Upholsterer also use leather cream (leather conditioning cream) to stop leather craking over time.

Definitely leather for me. My 05 A4 had light gray leather and it was getting dirty with my daughters playing soccer, etc...
My 00 A6 has black leather!!! Love it! All I need to do is brush the mud off the carpet and a quick wipe on the leather seats and I am done!
