3M makes a very good contact spray suitable for recovering a headliner. Valspar also makes a good contact spray.

I just recently replaced my headliner from gray to black, i had a heck of a time finding an adhieve. but i did come up with one. it is a 3m product, 3m #80900. It works great. just make sure you leave your windows cracked because that stuff is strong for weeks.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but my headliner is sagging all over the place . . . is there a way to re-stick it (using the afore-mentioned adhesive) without cutting into it to get under it? Hope that makes sense . . . I'm trying to find out how to remove the edges to get the adhesive under it.
