home made shift knob
so i decided to attempt and make my own shift knob. i used some scrap aluminum laying around, melted it down. then i got an empty paint can and cut it open. put some fireclay in with a double shot shot glass as the basic mold and once it was dry i poured the aluminum in.

I used duplicolor graphite wheel paint and vht engine coat clear coat enamel as the paint. then baked the knob in the oven. heres a pic of finished knob. http://imageshack.us/a/img843/8403/img11491.jpg |
Well, I'm thoroughly impressed. Looks nice!
