What would you do, sell or dig in deeper? 2005 B7 AVANT
For Sale2005 Audi A4 Quattro
Description:
I love driving my car. The paint is beautiful, but has dings n dents. I paid $5800 for it 6 years ago, but it seems to be a $4000 car now, at best. Runs/drives great, but engine needs resealing from several oil leaks. I only drive ~ 1500 mi./year, and don't need to top off between yearly oil changes.
But quirks are appearing with the fuel gauge, front susp. creaks during hot weather, and the tsig. sw. quit cancelling.
Obviously, fixing all this will cost thousands, putting me upside down, investment-wise. Should l press on til the car becomes undriveable, or bite the bullet and ante-up?
BTW, l hate how complicated new cars have become and wouldn't buy one, especially to drive as little as l do.
I'd appreciate your opinion/advice. Thanks!
If you're handy, and know the state of the car is good, with regards to standard fluid changes, and all have been kept up, it may certainly be worth keeping.
if money's tight and maintenance has not been a high priority, consider selling and buying a Toyota. The selling of a potentially problematic car may be you next internal fight though, and I recommend full transparency and a sale price that reflects the state of the car. My $0.02.

Since buying another used car (even a Tacoma) may be simply buying a diff. set of problems, I should be grateful for my luck so far, and do the car justice.
Thanks for your 2 cents, a bargain! Best wishes.
