Audi a3 2.0l TDI Sportback. 2007
Everything has been fine until last week when only in 5th & 6th gears at 65-70mph I get a whirring noise in these gears when I press the excelerator, then when I ease of excelerator the noise goes away, however when I press the excelerator in any these 5th & 6th gears to get the noise and then I click on the cruise control at that particular speed the noise is constant. The gearbox has been to a so called specialist who has done a full set of bearings & seals & the gears were also re-profiled. The noise is slightly better but it is still evident in these top two high gears. Has anyone come across this before.
