I am having a 1999 Audi A6 quattro, a light (looks like (O) ) is coming in the center. It stays all the time and also when I starts the car it beeps 4 times or sometime 3 times. It never beeps while I drive. I would appreciate if anyone could suggest about this.

 

its your low brake pad warning light, its on, on my a6 too, i just replaced all my brake pads and rotors and it just came on a few weeks ago and i found out my wires were cut, i dont know how that happened but i re wired em myself and now its gone. but id check the pads, the sensors only on the front brakes.

 

Thanks buddy. I would get it checked. I guess I do not have to go at the dealership. I guess it should not be anything Audi specific, any shop can do that for me?

 

if you can do it yourself youll save yourself ALOT of money because knowing what some places charge just to work on an audi it can be rediculous, but its either you have low brake pads or the connections from the pads became disconnected.

 

I am not familiar with the car stuff. I am sure I would do something wrong instead... Do you know by any chance if I could get info about any independent Audi mechanic. I stay at Miamisburg, Ohio

 

it would take it to someone that knows audi's pretty well, but not the audi dealership, good luck
