Autobahn Country Club and Bloomington Gold, two first-class auto sports organizations, will combine their specialties to produce BLAST, America’s first road course recreational driving expo for all performance cars.

Never before has there been a driving event like BLAST, presenting a unique driving event combining Touring, Hot Laps and Autocross for all performance cars. BLAST will feature the Autobahn Performance Fleet (Audi, Cadillac, Lexus and Porsche) as well as exhibitors for the automotive customer. Other manufacturers will participate in bringing some of their latest high performance models as well. Besides the manufacturer’s fleets, we also anticipate having local dealers representing Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, Mopar, and import performance brands at the Expo.

Car owners and enthusiasts’ may register on line or on site for Touring, Hot Laps, Autocross, Vintage Racers, and GoKarts. Touring will allow a customer to drive their own car on the track in a lead-follow format. This will provide an approximate 20-minute experience on the track following an elite instructor from the Autobahn Performance Fleet driving the lead car in each group of five. Hot Laps will feature a ride in an Autobahn Performance Fleet car with an instructor giving 10-minute “scary rides”. For the Autocross event, the customer may drive their own car or use one from the Autobahn Performance Fleet. The Autocross event will consist of two timed attempts on the course. As a special feature, Vintage Racers will display all weekend and have 20-minute track privileges twice each day. Included in this registration at no extra charge is a Vintage Racers Recognition Banquet Saturday evening presented by the world-class chef of Autobahn. GoKarts will also be available for driving on their own one-third mile track.

Founded in 2005 and is situated on 350 acres of gently rolling countryside, Autobahn features two Alan Wilson designed road courses that, when combined, create the fourth longest racing venue in the United States.
