Default Dayton-Cincinnati Area help?

Hopefully this is in the correct section.

Anybody located around the Dayton-Cincinnati area that would be willing to help me troubleshoot my 1997 Audi A4 I just purchased and then died?

I am down to it being something with the Immobilizer? It starts, runs a few seconds, then dies. I checked the codes and the only thing coming up is the torque converter code but it had this when it was running as well. How do I know if this car is equipped with the immobilizer? I only have the one key that came with it. I plan on ordering a replacement from Audi here in the next couple days.

Thanks
Dean

So far I have replaced the MAF, Coils, plugs, ICM, fuel filter, fuel relay and pump.

sounds like the immobilizer but you should see a code.

you using the Vag-com software? When I locked out my jetta it showed up in there. I let it sit overnight and then tried the known good key and it worked fine.

Usually you can take out battery for half hour, plug in and it will run fine for a while, longer than it normally would. See if that works. Had a buddies a6 do the same. Then we removed batter, reinstalled and it worked for like a day normally and then went back to it.
