Default I need help with my Key Fob

Hello there top of the morning to you! First of all I just bought a 2000 Audi TT 1.8T yesterday and didn't realize a few things till i brought her home from the dealer. The key fob needed new batteries so i replaced them thinking it would work to lock and unlock the doors.. That didn't work. So, next I tried locking the doors manually inside the car, pressing the lock button on the center console between the driver seat and passenger seat.. It locked the passenger door but the driver door is still unlocked. I can hear the locking mechanism inside the door when i hit the button but it just wont lock. I can lock the doors the good ol fashioned way using the key inside the door. Any ideas? Thanks!!

audis will not allow you to lock keys in car. So the lock button will only work on the driver side door if you are driving or in the car, if you open door and try to lock it, it wont lock. Only way to lock outside is key in door or key fob. If its not locking, try new battery in the key fob. Usually the prob.

If you have replaced the batteries you need to reprogram the keyfob.
