hydrolock is when water gets sucked into your engineby the air intake. water has to be pretty deep though, especially if the intake is factory spec.

 

i hydrolocked a vw cabrio motor once...... with a smaller puddle

i was the president for a few months cause the old president decided to step down....... well no one else wanted to do it, so i said i would.... long story short, the asked "how can a guy who has an audi be president of the vw club?"

i said oh well........ then one of the guys sold me a non working xbox...... as you have seen i have a working one now..... and i don't let him forget he tried ripping me off....... you know me i am an *******...... or at least that is what they think

And VW is definitely not the better brand.

On a side note, I was messing around on VW's website last night building out cars, and with the option packages they have set up you can't get a GTI or GLI with both a moonroof and leather - it has to be one or the other. How's that for better brand??

 

cause they don't want the leather to get wet when the moonroof malfunctions

 

I think it would be hard to hydrolock an audi with a stock intake -

When I had my civic, I was worried all the time because I had a CAI - and it was just right below the bottom of the bumper in front of the wheel.

OH well - Jeff thats weak about stlvw. Maybe you should tell them that the president of Fiat drives a ferrari - I think thats about a similar comparison, although the vw/audi/porsche incestual love fest is hard to understand.
