Thats what ide do trapped, if your going away to college ide get a 1.8t and mod that thing for the time being. Then if you still want your S when you out of college, then get it. By then youll have a degree in what not and have a job that can pay for the car and everyhting you want to do to it, or maybe even an brand NEW S-line! The 1.8t is a great motor, has awesome capabilities, and its eaisier to work on than a 2.7t.

I agree with that, but it won't be sitting. My step brother is going to be driving it [:@]. Thats kinda how it all began. He needs a car, and its half mine so my dad chooses, once again [:@] I know what now is when Ill get the most $$$ out of my a6 because its very low milage for a 00 and I don't want to it to depreciate if I'm not the one driving it. If it were truly going to be sitting for 4-6 months I would keep the a6 and keep the milage low, but thats not going to happen.

i bought my a4 a yr and half ago, and with my mods.... if i had a clean looking bumper on, i could probably get almost what i paid for it

thing booked for 15, i paid 10....... if you have a paid off car, you could trade it for an a4..... then when you get home...... if you wanna trade it, probably get a good chunk for it

haha! ouch. guess I had that coming. the guys can attest - im not the typical looking/acting "accountant". (Ie in the "I do taxes/have a calculator/wear a short sleeve shrit with a tie and a pocket protector")..again though, i had it coming.

Trapped - where you going to school? Not to discourage you, but when i was in school my car sat for a year, then i brought it up for the remainder of my schooling - and it got beat to hell. And I took care of it, it still got beat to hell. - How old is your step brother? And you want to get a b5s4 and let him drive it? (No chance in hell I would have let my step brother drive my car when I was away at school).

and again, plaza FTL. They didnt take me seriously at all when I was dead serious about buying an audi. Thought I was juust a punk kid - got no help, got no offers for help, just dirty looks and scoffs - they treated me like my money wasnt good. I felt bad for them really, because they had no idea if I was in there to buy an R8.

God, sounds like i really hate dealerships! (Parktown has been pretty good to me though - when its porsche time ill def. go there).

if i remeber correct he is going to school up in or near chi-town....... which will just beat the hell out of his car, if his brother doesn't wreck it first..........

this is the last time i will tell you......... and trust me, i have owned alot of cars and made alot of mistakes with cars.......... keep the a6 or get an a4....... you will regret getting an s4 and let it sit or you brother much less a step brother drive it while you are gone........ he will beat the hell out of it and the turbo's...... then when he does, you will be replacing stuff un-necessarily

/rant

oh yeah, corey, how old are you?

insurance for an s4 will be as much if not more than your payments on that car will/would be[&:]

ask the s4 owners

^^ hey jim, his name is Kolby.

and vtec, i was just messin with ya. it's always nice when you can shut down someone's misperception of you with cold hard facts. of course you're not the typical accountant...you drive and audi!

i never liked plaza either. you would thinka dealership like that would go out of their way to make every customer feel like a wealthy millionaire. with that persona, maybe they could talk you into a more expensive car than you were looking for. doesn't make sense.

i do like parktown though. the guys in the service department are always very nice to me. i've only delt with Leo there for the purchase of the A6 and although he had a typical salesman personality, i always felt like he wanted my business and he was trying to make a deal. he even sent me a christmas card for a few years afterwards and he recognizes me and says hello if he sees me there for service.
