Hello,

I just picked up my first Audi after what seems to be a lifetime of driving W124 chassis Benzs. I have a cherry 1997 A6 Avant Quattro (C4 Chassis) that has 202K miles, and all the service records to back it up.

Anyway. I am fairly familiar with the engines on these cars as I also have a 2001 B5 Passat GLX V6. However, I'm looking for a decent independent shop in the Chicago 'burbs that can tackle things that I may not have time for. I'm usual a DIY guy, but sometimes, it's just not practical for me to turn my own wrench!

My Benz guy won't touch the Audi as he is a strictly Benz shop. The most he'd do are breaks and possibly a tune up, if need be. He's great (and cheap) with the Benz's, but we're talking apples and organges in terms of technology.

Anyway... Any leads on decent shops out in the Chicago 'burbs would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Aaron

Which burb direction from the city are you? There's a place called mobile1 in Glenview. Guy does a ton of Audi's and VW's. He did a little work on mine but was a bit pricey for a do-it-your-selfer(like me). Way better than the dealer and the guy has experience.
