Depending on how much you want to spend, and unless you've got another car you can get around in in the winter, I would look into a 335Xi. Pretty sure those can be tuned to outrun the the E46 ///M pretty easily.

That's just my opinion, though.

The winter part isn't a big deal. I'll just drive the Pathfinder. I don't want something that I can mod to outrun an M3 I want an M3. I've always wanted one. I'm either going get the M3 or drop 5k-6k on going stage 3. I have a hard time dropping that kind of money on a car with 70000 miles though.

70k miles for any b5 s4 is young as hell, people are dropping full stage 3 kits into s4s at 100k+ for sure so you shouldn't feel like that at all, just don't expect to get your money back when your done with it, but thats any car with mods.

It would be cool to be pushing over 400 horse but I'm afraid I'll just keep moding and moding. With the M3 I wouldn't be doing much of anything to it. I don't know. My cousin is the sales manager at the dealership he works for. When he has looked for me in the past the deals have been almost too good to pass up. I guess we'll see. Anybody interested in my s4 if he does find something?

i was sitting at manchester and barrett station and i was the 3rd or 4th car up hill and can see the street perfectly from the drivers seat i was in and i see a grey r8 and a grey a6 sitting at the light....i said meh i look straight ahead and gradually accelerated to the other side of the intersection to see if i could put some distance between them and me, cause they were probably dealers driving them..so i guess someone in stl is going to own a grey r8 woohoo!!!!....... i mean meh

Low temp Thermo-Switch for S4 (B5) After-Run System

That is the title of the tech article on AW.com. Just replaces the current 233F thermo switch to a newer 198F switch to operate the after run system in the s4s almost every time its shut off instead of the rarity, you guys should look into it. I know kyle wanted me to link him to it.

Now I can understand why you don't want a 335.
